The following school administrative changes have been announced for Wicomico County Public Schools, effective July 1st. Please congratulate all of these principals, assistant principals and deans of students as they prepare to put their experience and talents to work in new or continuing assignments for the 2024-2025 school year.
A full listing of school leadership teams – with principals, assistant principals and deans of students – is also provided.
Principal Changes:
Principal, Charles H. Chipman Elementary: Meeka McCoy (currently Assistant Principal at Chipman Elementary). She will replace Antionette Perry, who will be Principal of West Salisbury Elementary.
Principal, Fruitland Primary: Parris Abt (currently an Assistant Principal at Beaver Run Elementary). She will replace Lisa Forbush, who will be a Supervisor of Special Education.
Principal, West Salisbury Elementary: Antionette Perry (currently Principal of Charles H. Chipman Elementary). She will replace Kimandi Binns, who will be an Assistant Principal at Wicomico Middle.
Principal, Willards Elementary: Jen Rice (currently Assistant Principal of Willards). She will replace Judy Nicholson, who is retiring.
Principal, Choices Academy: Matthew Brady (currently Principal of Laurel Elementary). He will replace Courtney Elliott, who will become a Pupil Personnel Worker.
Assistant Principal (AP) Changes:
Beaver Run Elementary: AP Kamesha Miller (currently an assistant principal at Wicomico High), AP Erica Henkel (promoted, currently Lead Teacher at Westside Primary), and AP Julie Stevens (promoted, currently Professional Development Coach at Early Learning Transitions) for Early Learning Transitions.
Charles H. Chipman Elementary: AP Allison Harrington (promoted, currently West Salisbury Elementary Dean of Students) to replace current AP Meeka McCoy (promoted to Chipman Principal)
Delmar Elementary: AP Lauren Monroe (currently AP at West Salisbury Elementary) to replace Shelly Hall (retiring)
East Salisbury Elementary: AP Laura Miles (Parkside High graduate currently serving as an elementary administrative intern with Durham Public Schools in North Carolina) to replace Dr. Keoshia Warner-Chaibou (moving to West Salisbury Elementary as AP)
Northwestern Elementary: AP Kaytlin Curren (currently AP at Pemberton) to replace Gerrie Wiersberg (retiring)
Pemberton Elementary: AP Elizabeth Finch (promoted from Pemberton Dean of Students) to replace Kaytlin Curren (moving to Northwestern Elementary as AP)
West Salisbury Elementary: AP Dr. Keoshia Warner-Chaibou (currently AP at East Salisbury Elementary) to replace Lauren Monroe (moving to Delmar Elementary as an AP)
Willards Elementary: AP Mary Sartorio (promoted, Pinehurst Elementary teacher) to replace Jen Rice (promoted to Willards Principal)
Wicomico Middle: APs Melissa Lasinski (promoted, currently Dean of Students at Salisbury Middle) and Kimandi Binns (currently principal at West Salisbury Elementary). They become Wi Middle APs with the departure of Tonya Wilson (moving to AP at Wicomico High) and Kenneth Popp (becoming a Pupil Personnel Worker)
Parkside High: AP for Career & Technical Education (CTE) Scott Pegg (promoted from Dean of Students at Wicomico High). He replaces William Witte, who will be CTE Coordinator 2.
Wicomico High: AP Tonya Wilson (currently an AP at Wicomico Middle) to replace AP Kamesha Miller, now an AP at Beaver Run Elementary
