Lisa Jeffers, MS, CRNP, FNP-BC, CWS, a member of the Healogics Specialty Physician group, has joined the clinical team at the Peninsula Wound & Hyperbaric Center at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD.
Jeffers, a family nurse practitioner who is currently practicing as a certified wound specialist, has over 10 years experience in wound care. She comes to the Peninsula Wound & Hyperbaric Center from Community Medical Group (CMG) Wound Care in Easton, MD, where she was the lead nurse practitioner in the office and the sole provider of wound care for the past 18 months. At CMG Wound Care, she was also responsible for the mentoring and instruction of new nurse practitioners, and is a past chairperson of the Advanced Practice Clinicians Council there.
Jeffers, who also a has over four years experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting, is a former Nurse of the Year at Atlantic General Hospital. She has a BS in Medical Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin and a BS and MS in Nursing from Salisbury University.
In her role at the Peninsula Wound & Hyperbaric Center, she will be responsible for providing the same advanced treatment modalities and excellent care that patients have come to expect when seeking treatment at the Peninsula Wound & Hyperbaric Center. As a recent recipient of the Center of Distinction award for excellent healing outcomes, high patient satisfaction rates and outstanding clinical performance, the addition of Jeffers and her wound care experience will assure the continuation of exceptional care.
