Two of Becker Morgan Group’s architectural staff – Kevin Utz and Kelsey Segraves – were recently elected to the 2021 Board of Directors for the AIA Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Kevin M. Utz, AIA is a Licensed Architect who has been with Becker Morgan Group for five years and was recently promoted to Associate. Kevin was elected President of the AIA Chesapeake Bay Chapter in early 2020 and is excited to have been reelected to the role for 2021. “There’s always something to be done when it comes to bettering ourselves personally and professionally. Leadership within AIA allows me to make positive impacts in our communities and the architectural profession at large. I’m thrilled to continue leading such a vital organization to help improve the built environment in our region!”, said Kevin. He previously served AIA Chesapeake Bay in capacities as Vice President and Board Member. He is also an active Board Member for AIA Maryland, the state component of the American Institute of Architects. Kevin is a graduate of Marywood University, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 2015.
Kelsey M. Segraves, Assoc. AIA was elected the Emerging Professionals Director for the Chapter. In this role, she will serve as a resource to recent graduates and interns. When asked about her new Board position, Kelsey said, “I have had many wonderful mentors over the past several years. I’m honored to continue that network of support by encouraging others in our industry to succeed.” Kelsey has been an Architectural Designer with Becker Morgan Group for two years. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture, as well as a Minor in Business, from Marywood University.
