Wicomico High School Seeks Volunteer Mentors for Students

WiHi

Wicomico High School’s afterschool program, in conjunction with AmeriCorps at Salisbury University, is in need of volunteer mentors for students.
Volunteers tutor and mentor 9th through 12th grade students, trying to improve test scores and overall graduation rates. Volunteer mentors from the Chamber of Commerce members are needed. The after school program meets at Wicomico High School, Mondays through Thursdays from 2:45pm until 5:00pm.
Volunteers need to bring their driver’s license in order to sign in at the main office. There will also be a one hour orientation for all new mentors to give a brief overview of the program.
For more information, contact Susan Cullen, Dean of Students at Wicomico High, by emailing scullen@wcboe.org, or by contacting Brian Black from AmeriCorps by emailing bb21826@gmail.com.
