Salisbury, MD – The City of Salisbury, in partnership with the Greater Salisbury Committee (GSC) and members of the community, is proud to announce a special dedication in honor of the late Greg Bassett—a cherished leader, journalist, and committed member of the Salisbury community.

To celebrate Greg’s lasting impact and unwavering service, the downtown roundabout will officially be renamed Greg Bassett Circle.

The community is invited to attend the Greg Bassett Circle Unveiling Ceremony on Monday, April 28 at 2 p.m. at the downtown roundabout. This public event will serve as a moment of remembrance, celebration, and appreciation for Greg’s dedication to Salisbury and his countless contributions through storytelling, civic engagement, and leadership with the Greater Salisbury Committee.

For those who would like to join, viewing will be available from the 500 Riverside Drive parking lot.

“We are proud to honor Greg Bassett’s legacy in a way that will forever remind residents and visitors of the difference one individual can make,” said Mayor Randy Taylor. “His passion for community and commitment to Salisbury set a powerful example.”

All are welcome to join as we pay tribute to a remarkable community figure whose voice and vision helped shape the heart of Salisbury.
