Ryan Minor was a former professional baseball player who played for the Baltimore Orioles and Montreal Expos. After his playing career, he became a respected Minor League coach and manager. Ryan played a key role in the success of the Delmarva Shorebirds, helping lead the team to its first South Atlantic League Championship in 1997. He later returned as a coach and manager, and his iconic #44 jersey was the first number retired in Shorebirds history.

Ryan passed away in 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. He left a lasting legacy of mentorship, leadership, and strength—values he carried both on and off the field. He was especially passionate about supporting children with special needs, and the Ryan Minor Memorial Fund was created to continue his mission of making a positive impact in their lives. The Kim and Evans Family Foundation invites sponsors and golfers to take part in this special event and help carry on Ryan’s legacy. For sponsorship or registration information, visit here.
