
The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland are pleased to present the 2025 Maryland General Assembly Post Legislative Session Forum, featuring the mid and lower Eastern Shore Legislative Delegation. The luncheon will take place on Thursday, April 17, 11:30 AM -1:00 PM, at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from our Lower Shore elected senators and delegates on the happenings of the recently completed 2026 Maryland General Assembly Session. They will discuss the legislation debated, passed, and defeated in Annapolis and what we can expect moving into 2027.
Some hot button issues this session include:
- The push to increase Maryland’s minimum wage to $25.00 per hour
- Possible elimination of the Tipped Worker credit
- Reforms to Maylands Unemployment insurance trust fund
- How Maryland’s energy crisis is being addressed
- What legislative attempts were made to raise taxes and fees on businesses and individuals
