Mountaire Farms Takes First Place as Inaugural Event Celebrates Community

Salisbury, MD — Hebron Savings Bank brought together local business leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community members on Saturday, October 17, for its inaugural HSB Executive Cornhole Challenge at WinterPlace Park in Salisbury.
The event featured local businesses competing in a double-elimination cornhole tournament, with each team representing a nonprofit organization of its choice. Designed to combine friendly competition with community involvement, the Challenge provided an opportunity to raise funds, build awareness, and celebrate the important work of nonprofit organizations serving our region.
In addition to the tournament, attendees enjoyed live music from The Mercury Agenda, local food trucks, an executive dunk tank, and other activities throughout the afternoon.

The final rounds brought together some excellent competitors from FiServ, Tezla Consulting, SVN | Miller Commercial Real Estate, Big Oyster, LLC, Mountaire Farms, and Chesapeake Utilities. Mountaire Farms captured first place, competing on behalf of the Relay for Life. Big Oyster, LLC finished second, representing Delaware Hospice. Relay for Life received $10,000 and Delaware Hospice $7,500.

At Hebron Savings Bank, we believe being a community bank means actively investing in the people and places we serve. Seeing that spirit of generosity and community pride come to life was truly rewarding, and we look forward to building on this tradition in the years ahead.”
Building on the success of this year’s inaugural event, Hebron Savings Bank is already planning the 2027 HSB Executive Cornhole Challenge, scheduled for early October.
