The SACC was delighted to join owners Leanne and Mitch Mariner on the official SACC ribbon cutting for their new store Delmarva Home Grown, located at 100 E. Main Street in downtown Salisbury.  The brand-new store is full of green plants and supplies that will immediately provide a sense of calmness and relaxation.

The only of its kind in Salisbury, Delmarva Home Grown is plant boutique store that offers a variety of plants, terrarium’s and how to make terrarium’s workshops, cannabis cultivation supplies, micro greens and so much more.  Leanne shared with the attendees that “I have always been a plant lover and I have had a fruit and vegetable garden for more than 15 years.  During Covid I had the brilliant idea that I wanted to strip down a airstream camper and create a mobile plant boutique.  However, I am a realtor and Mitch is a lender and we all know how the real estate market was during Covid, so my dream was put on hold”.

When growing cannabis in your home became legal in July 2023, Mitch and Leanne realized that the closest well-established location to purchase supplies for growing home cannabis was over 2 hours away from Salisbury.  They jumped at the opportunity to collaborate on creating a store that would allow Leanne to educate and help with gardening tips in her own plant boutique and Mitch the opportunity to empower plant enthusiasts of all kinds including cannabis, by providing guidance, knowledge and quality supplies to achieve their goals.  “We wanted the store to be welcoming to everyone in the family, a location where people can learn how to grow cannabis but also enjoy other plants such as building your own terrariums, where fifty percent of the participants are kids and their families.  And we also wanted the urban feel, and that is why we chose to open our store in downtown Salisbury.” stated Leanne.

Guests enjoyed of light fares and libations prepared by the host, and three members where the lucky winners of door prizes that included an exotic Thai constellation monstera plant, a wheatgrass growing kit (ideal for growing microgreens), and a $50 gift card to the store with a book called “The Care & Feeding of Your First Grown”.
