What Are SWAC Grants?
The Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council awards Community Art Project, Operating and Emergency Grants to local arts organizations, and Arts Enhanced Education Grants to Wicomico County public and private Schools. The FY25 Deadline for the second of two Community Art Grants offered this year, and the deadline for the ONLY Arts Enhanced Education grant application, (AEE) is December 6, 2024 fast approaching!  The Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council encourages all qualifying arts organizations and schools to apply for grant funding to create “Arts for Better Living.”

ATTN: TEACHERS!
Arts Enhanced Education Grants – 
this is funding to support art projects of all disciplines in local, public or private elementary, middle or high schools, churches, daycare, senior centers, prisons, homeless shelters, nursing homes, hospitals, colleges, boy or girl scouts or any other non profit organization with residence in Wicomico County or whose efforts will benefit Wicomico County*, that can use the arts and/or arts education to bring healing and/or to enhance the quality of life for those they serve. *NEW!

ATTN: ARTS ORGANIZERS!
Community Arts Development Project Grants – this is funding to support non profit organizations with residence in Wicomico County or whose efforts will benefit Wicomico County, to create and produce arts events and projects in all disciplines for things such as but not limited to: theatre, concerts, galleries, trips, supplies, education, exhibitions, poetry, festivals, classes, training and other varied arts endeavors.

The Deadline to submit applications for both grants is Friday, December 6, 2024

WHAT TO DO NOW?
GO TO WWW.GETSWAC.ORG FOR APPLICATION, CRITERIA AND GUIDELINES, TYPE GRANT EXACTLY AS DIRECTED,  BE SURE TO READ THROUGH THE GRANT GUIDELINES FIRST TO MAKE SURE YOUR PROJECT OR ORGANIZATION FITS THE CRITERIA ESTABLISHED, THEN TYPE INTO THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION THROUGH THE WORD ICON FOR THE APPLICATION. SUBMIT TO SWAC AT: 110 West Church St., Salisbury, MD 21801 – Next to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church by 4:30 pm, or mail to P.O. Box 884, Salisbury, MD 21803 OR EMAIL to Arts4shore@gmail.com (applications must be delivered or postmarked by December 6, 2024)

The second Community Art Grant cycle for (for Project Grants only) for FY’25 AND the ONLY deadline for AEE  grant cycle deadline is December 6, 2024, and this grant distribution is for projects taking place between January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025. Go to www.GetSWAC.org for application, criteria and guidelines.

WHAT TO DO FOR YOUR SCHOOL ARTS IF YOU ARE A TEACHER?

For the  FY24 Arts Enhanced Education Grants to provide arts in schools to assist teachers, enhance classroom participation and integrate arts in education.

Through out the year, SWAC provides Arts Grants for either operating support, arts special projects or arts emergency support  and AEE grants for teachers, service and health organizations are available for incorporated non-profit 501(c)3 organizations and schools in Wicomico County.  NOTE: THIS EMAIL IS FOR THE CURRENT APPLICATION CYCLE FOR ONLY CAD PROJECT OR AEE GRANTS.
