New Faculty Members at Wor-Wic

Bunnell-Young joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Dana Bunnell-Young of Seaford, Del., as an assistant professor of biological science.

Bunnell-Young has a bachelor of science in environmental science from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md., and a master of science in marine, estuarine and environmental sciences from the University of Maryland College Park. She has experience teaching biological sciences, environmental science and chemistry in secondary education settings. She served six years as an adjunct faculty at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Md., teaching biology for non-majors, physical science and earth science.

Failla joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Jackie Failla of Whaleyville as an instructor of nursing.

Failla holds two associate degrees, one in nursing from Howard Community College in Columbia, and another in chemical dependency counseling from Wor-Wic. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wilmington University in New Castle, Del. She has extensive experience in mental health nursing, women’s health, medical-surgical nursing and long-term care nursing, and has taught as a part-time faculty member at Wor-Wic.

Franks joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Dr. Lynn Franks of Salisbury as an assistant professor of English.

Franks has a bachelor’s and a master’s in English from Salisbury University, and a doctorate in education from Wilmington University. She has previously worked at Wor-Wic as a part-time instructor and reading and writing center instructor. At Salisbury Christian School, Franks served as upper school principal, dean of academics and instruction, and dean of student affairs.

Noonan joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Kathie Noonan of Salisbury as an associate professor of mathematics.

Noonan has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Salisbury University. She has taught high school mathematics since 1994 and has served as a part-time faculty member and math lab instructor at Wor-Wic since 2008.

Williams joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Christine M. Williams of Ocean View, Del., as an instructor of social science.

Williams has an associate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Lycoming College, both in Williamsport, and master’s degrees from Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., and Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

She has been working in the social services field since 1992 and has served as a part-time faculty member for Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del., since 2017.
