Salisbury, MD – Wicomico County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement Colored People (NAACP) will host its fourteenth annual Freedom Fund Banquet, seating at 11:30 am and program at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, October 5th at the First Baptist Church Family Life & Cultural Center located on the corner of Booth Street and 528 Delaware Avenue, Salisbury, MD.
The Keynote speaker, CARLOS N. FIELDS, will speak to the theme, “The Assessment of Millennials Perceptions: The Civil Rights Movement!” Mr. Fields is a Management & Program Analyst at the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), he plays a critical role in the annual distribution of $5.5 billion dollars to airports for critical airport development projects across the National Airspace System. In addition to being a public servant, in 2010 he founded the Maryland Vitiligo Support Association, a non-profit organization established to provide emotional support and education.
As an entrepreneur, in 2008 he created Executive Powernaps, LLC to provide single-occupant napping locations in metropolitan commuting destinations and travel hubs and in 2016, started FieldsGoodPie, provider of homemade pies for retail, catering, and special events.
